before i start my daily notes of my life, i'd like to start writing after a 2day hiatus on a very solemn note.

i have a friend, his name is Jordan Tan Jun Jie. he is a guy filled with joyful laughters everytime i see him. we do not start off long chatters like what my other friends do, but a smile never fails to shine on his face whenever we meet halfway.

i do not know him on a very personal level, but he's definitely made a difference in my schooling life. the little bit everyday, that i'll miss when he's gone.

below is a tribute to my friend from his classmates and friends. do join in to offer our deepest condolences.

"Jordan Tan Jun Jie is a student of Ngee Ann Polytechnic's School of Life Sciences and Chemical Technology, Molecular Biotechnology. He is a year 2 student as well as a committee member for the LSCT GL's. He suffers from a condition known as thrombocytopenia, which is the cause for his low blood platelet count.

On the 10th of Febuary 2009, Jordan was at NP's Convention Center's basement preparing for a test. Jordan vomited out his lunch as well as a lot of blood, and eventually fainted before the paramedics arrived.
He was sent to NUH A&E, where doctors found a blood clot in his brain, but were unable to operate immediately because of his low blood platelet count.
After being in critical condition for almost 12 hours, a small operation was carried out to ease the blood pressure in his brain, which was mounting to a dangerous level.
He has been in a coma ever since, and doctors have certified him brain dead as of 12th Febuary 2009.

However, the masses of people who went to visit Jordan are still not giving up hope. They are still hoping and praying for Jordan, and they are constantly visiting him and folding paper cranes and stars at ward 21 in the hopes of him waking up.

I, as a classmate and close friend to Jordan, also hopes with all my heart that my good friend Jordan will wake up soon. I have been praying along with all my classmates for him. This group was created to ask for prayers and well wishes to Jordan, as well as to provide support in any way possible to his family."

on the 15th of Febuary 2009 .............

Jordan has passed away early in the morning on 15th Febuary 2009. His wake will be held at Block 288A Bukit Batok Street 25. He will be cremated on Tuesday, 17th Febuary 2009.

Please keep him in your prayers, that he may rest in eternal peace.


i was in school the day the accident happened. my groupmate and i had wanted to get started on our final project of the semester. i had wanted to do it at the convention center, but my groupmate felt otherwise. i'm having this mixed feelings about whether being there that day would be better or not.

if i were there, i'd get to see him for the last time. but i wouldn't be of any help. and it'll definitely hurt more than this now.
now that i wasn't there, i miss him, and wish to see him for the last time. but i totally cannot bear to.

he's accompanied us spiritually through Valentine's before he breathed his last breath of air. he's loved us a friends and special people, and we know we love him too. thank you Jordan, for making differences in the lives of many, thank you for all you've given us when you're alive.
now let's bid goodbye, we'll meet each other again, somehow ..........

as we all say things happen for a reason, god has his own plans, i'd never been able to sum up anything just at the end of this phrase. it's incomprehensible why do such things happen to take away people who don't want missing in our lives.

Jolynn hates unhappy things to happen =(
within a short 2 months span, i've lost 2friends physically to mishaps, the plans of god.
i wish there isn't anymore to come.

to mark the loss of a dear friend,
and also as a respect to him,
posts for Kukop trip, Valentine's and others will be done the next time i log in.
for now,
let's mourn for Jordan,
a silent moment to keep him in our memories forever.
