 Wednesday, March 31, 2010  @ 9:50 PM HI ALL !! i'm back from BKK safe and sound, in ONE piece =)))
currently still unable to do a proper post about the whole thing, so just let me post a few highlights of the trip.
the people: alicia, yee mun, zarra, kai yuan, and myself.
we camped at zarra's house on the 24th as it was much nearer to the airport. didn't really get any sleep. headed for airport, it was a short flight, and zarra got bad ear block =[ arrived at bangkok, bought our prepaid cards, and off to our apartment.
settled some admin stuffs, and we headed to Siam =) shop shop shop. on the way back, zarra suggested that we walked to the supermarket from Prom Phong BTS. the road seemed sooooooooooooooooooooooooo short on the map, but guess what, we walked for almost 2hours T.T
ok the rest of the trip is all about shopping so let me just update on certain incidents that leave impressions on me instead. it's mostly about scamming and stuffs LOL !!
on the 2nd or 3rd day i think, we boarded a cab that brought us to a "food market" and says he'll be back in an hour to fetch us. since we need not pay him the full amount yet, so we trusted him la. end up the WHOLE "food market" was like filled with tourists only !!! the prices are like 13-14 bucks per plate of fried rice =.= and terrible service !! cause we had no choice but to dine there ma, so ulu pandan !!!
the cabbie claimed that our hotel area got protests not safe to go back now BLAH BLAH !! apparently it's some trick used by most of them. luckily we ain't naive to believe them after the first time. second time we just hopped off the cab and had pizza before we went home.
the second unfortunate incident
we boarded a cab which cabbie doesn't understand english. he knows where our destination is, but we got KY to stop over at 7-11 to buy stuffs. and he just drove off w/o him after he got off !!! we were like "STOP STOP STOP !!" even use hand sign, but he simply ignore us and treat us like transparent. and he apparently understood the meaning of "stop" when we were nearing our hotel he asked "stop here?" *PIANGS* and then we didn't know that KY left his things in the front passenger seat, and that fella didn't even tell us and drive off already =.=
the third unfortunate incident
we boarded yes a cab again (cabs are cheaper than trains over there) and the uncle wanted to extort us of 200baht cab fare when it never exceeded 110baht from platinum to near our place. he still shouted at us lor !!! but nevermind, 200baht, save the trouble of flagging another =.=
okokok enough of unfortunates, of course there were some funny ones. okokok there's this one soooo cute that i can't forget.
we were strolling out of our apartment to the night food stalls nearby. on the way we saw a dog walking v v slowly with its owner. when it saw us it wanted to come play with us. after it knew its owner don't allow, he resumed to his walking. his owner said "sorry he's v lazy." upon that, the dog walked a few steps and just slomped sideways on the ground, so the owner had to drag it to stand up HAHAHA !! never seen a dog that lazy before !! but so cute !! after we walked in the front, then it sped up, cause it wants to follow us =))) cute right !!
we met a cabbie who knows who is lee kuan yew, lee hsien loong, and can speak mandrin. super !!
food there is superb !! shopping is love !! and i can't stop the thing about "my shoe" HAHAHA !! cause i got it, and i'm super in love with it =)))
