HOOOOLLLAAAAA !! i'm here to revive the web again. i've seen many people doing up blog posts about their year 2010, but i decided to do something on my lunar year instead, so different ~ (actually it's procarstination =/)
ah well ........... i would have to say i love my year 2010, eventful and uneventful at the same time. i tried many new things i haven't done before ALOT OF FIRST TIMES, went to new places, but other than that, it was slacking, slacking, and more slacking. it was my most NUA year of my life.
so before i start my post officially going, let me wish all a happy prosperous new year !!!
on the 25th of Janurary (according to my memory), i sent my best friend, Isabelle, off at the airport together with Xiufeng. ok i was feeling so lost then, because she was quite a big part of my life. we're always talking, at each other's place, or go out tgt. i never really had a best friend, and i'm usually hopping around the groups kind, so i didn't know how was it to feel your bestie going away for a long time.
oh well, i didn't cry at the airport i think LOL. or maybe i did. i only remember crying when i sent her off at the later part of the year. anyways ............... time for pictures.

i love her family photos, reminds me of the times at her place. her mum would stuff me with loads of good food, not the 大鱼大肉 kind, but all the healthy ones. also, how i always have to go to the left side of her dad's so he could hear me call him lol.
fortunately after that, my projects kept me busy and distracted. i was preparing for graduation, on the 7th of Feb, i finished all my projects i needed to submit for the course. and on 24th of May, i officially graduated =)))) no more an 'O' level cert, but a Diploma holder =))) definitely memorable step in my life.

i definitely miss the times in Ngee Ann. i remember so well that in the first year of my course, i totally couldn't wait to graduate and get out of that place. i hated the hills, the distance, the damn long breaks in between classes, and those classes which i thought was useless to attend. but of course, in my 3rd year, i took back my words.

as ridiculous as it seems, it's my first time i wore my own robe(though rented) for my own graduation. if you believe me, my dad didn't even get me my robe for my kindergarten graduation, so i had to borrow from somebody for the photoshoot. *shoots puppy look*

the dearest person who saw me throughout stages of my life. singlehandedly, she ensured that i didn't need to worry about school fees, my laptop needed for school, expenses, and even sometimes my extravagrant indulgences in food. thank you mummy !! you finally saw me going up the stage and receiving my cert !! don't have 四方帽, but i know it's all the same to you =))

as how my memory serves me, i went to thailand BKK on the 24th of March, as my graduation trip. my first time overseas with friends =))
i went for this trip with these wonderful people =))
we stayed over at zarra's place, and left for the airport in the wee hours. the flight was short, like an hour and a half. so just some camwhoring ............................

and we are HHEERRRRREEEEE !!!

and this is like one-third of ONE of our rooms. we have two by the way. and a kitchen outside too. super big and comfy, reasonably priced =) one week's stay probably cost you about 150-200bucks =)
the very first embarassing(well not exactly) thing we did:
after arriving at the station, bought tickets and went up to the BTS platform. you know in Singapore, people would be waiting all along the platform area, but in thailand, there'll be half the platform that was empty. and our Singaporean mindset, obviously we waited at the empty empty side, and felt lucky cause we could take pictures then. end up, actually the train is only half the length of the platform LOLOL !! so we had to hurry scurry along half the platform to board the train hahaha.
and the second embarassing thing was to take a seat at these reserved seats on the BTS. nopes it's not like in Singapore where these seats are for elderly, kids, or pregant women. it's reserved for monks, can see how much they respect their religions. but thankfully, there wasn't any monks around.

we walked around Siam, nothing much there. and then went to find Carrefour to buy our necessities. it was a ^&%^#$!$#%&^&( long walk. like 30mins?
ok and on the way we saw a lingerie shop, and spent quite alot of time in there. the real story is too embarassing to tell, i think the people have forgotten about it already, kept to myself =xxxx
and so, while waiting, zarra and ky ice-creamed.
FINALLY
let's just do some snippets of my memories in Bangkok so it wouldn't get too long-winded =)

on the 3rd of June, i embarked on my journey to best friend =) super unforgettable. my first long haul flight ALONE, damn gurung. the dumb bangala i sat next to from colombia to dubai. the hilarious questions asked during the screening checks at UK. the first glimpse of my best friend waiting eagerly and a lil worried at the arrival gates =) and of course, knocking down the whole stand of crisps =))))
i said i wanted to go on budget trip, and my evil bestie brought shopping on the very first day LOL !! new look @ UK rocks !! i stayed at her place near parklane in Sunderland, and we maggie mee-ed almost everyday LOL.
i met a new friend, she's Hannah Hadman, i don't have any photos with her sadly. but i remember going to her house and boxing the hell out of Stuart LOL !! i'm just kidding, it's just that we both win him in boxing when it's come to Wii =)

this ride is funny, i found it quite scary at first, kept screaming. until halfway, i shut up already. and we started chatting instead hahahaha.
this one is just like escape's rainbow but i tell you i almost cursed at a girl. it will spin you in a circle, and the only safety barrier was the rubber thing that you have to pull down after you sit, no locks, no latches, nothing. and every 3seats share a barrier. and it was just my luck that when we were at the highest point, that looney person decide that she wanna lift up that thing. so i stared hard at her, and push it down with all my might. grrr ^%$^%#$@
then stuart went on this really scary thing where you're actually standing. then you have a metal chain hung in front of you, say your tummy level? not a tight space at all. then they spin the whole thing almost perpendicular to the ground o.0 won't the top ones fall off and sandwich some people? omg and the people there are so daring, they still dare to jump and lift their legs, not worrying if they'll fly out.

stuart won a teddy for belle, he's real good in darts. and one of the boys who was at the fair walked past us and gave him kudos, cause even he himself couldn't get that after many tries. but the vendors weren't sporty at all, they were so reluctant to give away the prizes and

sidenote: i miss the strawberries in London !! you never had to worry about it being sour. all was like red and bright, almost looking fake. but sooooo delicious !!

and we drove back, reached Sunderland at about 2am. we packed, i cooked noodles for Stuart and myself, but he fell asleep before i was done cooking LOL !! so belle and me stayed up the whole night, and i was telling her let's not sleep on the plane so we wouldn't be jet-lagged after that. but all was nonsense, we slept throughout the journey, i hardly remember being awake hahaha.

the very first time i learnt to pitch a tent. ok i didn't help at all, but prior to this, i had zero idea how pitching a tent was like. i didn't know there was those rods you need to stuff inside blah blah LOL !! precious lesson.

on my 20th birthday, i had like SIX bags as present. on my 21st, who dare to give me bag, i will squeeze you into the bag !! hahaha. i'm just kidding la ~ really.
on the following week, it's xiufeng's 21st celebration !!! helped her to check-in her chalet, open the door until i almost went bonkers. i have trouble with open doors, and bottle caps =/

i will never ever ever ever forget this day where we played ban luck with WATER !! my bladder was so full that i could stand at the shower area, and my pee just flow w/o my brain even programming it to LOL !! unglam i know.
and that botak hong wei !!! he take the cards until more than 21pts liao, he still for fun take the next card. guess what? i had 2 sevens on hand, and he took away my third one zzzzzz. then i gotta drink water again !!

and then towards the later part of the year, SJM learnt that our dear 老姐 was flying off to London for 4months, so we planned regularly outings like trip to USS, steamboat at her house, teoheng etc etc.
i didn't have a "plus one" that day =[ cause RF was supposed to be mine. but it's ok =) made a new friend, her sister, who used to go to the same school as me.
on one of those days i made a trip to the science center after donkey years with my long lost friend, zemin. CSI experience !! another first time for the year. no photos :/ and then we crazed over mahjong and maplestory for quite awhile. yeahhhh no photos, but happy times =) so it's here on this post.
celebrated Meichan's 21st on the 19th of Dec. she held it at a very ATAS condo near clarke quay LOL !! it's her relative's la. we helped to decorate the venue, and i think we did pretty well =)
it's THEIR celebration actually but her sister decided to do it at a later date =) they're twins btw.
her guestbook was done SUPER gorgeously !!
food was yummy, company was great !! everything was goooooddddd !!
and on that day, we learnt that moon has psychic powers !! she could predict bus arrival times w/o checking at all !!! more like psycho hahaha.
teoheng for the greatest SJM !! we all didn't have enough sleep so all abit sot plug, but who cares !! that's what brings in the fun.
we took alot of photos of the three of us, so that 老姐 would see it and miss us more in London. we're trying to squeeze some space in her heart which is all filled with JJ lol !!
on the 10th and 11th of Jan, SJM (san jie mei) camped at SIM to start storming up a scrapbook for our 老姐. not easy, totally not easy !! LOL !!

had these for our dinner that day cause the stalls were all closed.
even hitched a ride from a stranger !! cause rain just wouldn't stop, and the distance was like 15mins walk at least. he brought us to wierd places LOL !! i mean he took a more ulu route la. but thankfully he was sukuna's friend, my IEP lecturer LOL !! then i felt more safe about it. was still thinking of when to pull his gear to P position if he tries anything funny HAHAHAHA !!

at the airport, we were competing with RF's going-to-low-batt iphone for more pictures. she used a korean app to create these effects.

and very soon, about 29hours more, i'll be flying off to taiwan, and missing my 20th Vday(cause i'm born aft 14th Feb). hopefully i'll spend my 21st Vday attached to my future husband-to-be LOLOL !!! luck please be on my side !!!!
and here i'll like to thank all of you who were part of my 2010 and 2011. even those not mentioned, and we meet up often, thanks to all of you that i had a great year !!
to those who brought me real bad memories, fuck off. (weemeng, if you ever read this, it might seem misleading to you, but you're not one of them i swear LOL !!)
w/o reference to the above paragraph ....... at some point along this year, i "fell in love". like really more "in love" than i expected it to be. but i hope in the new year, i'll get over it. no no no no, i BELIEVE i'll be over it.
