WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH! it must have took a hurricane to send me here. it's been ages since i ever had the urge to do anything else other than sleep during my free time. my lovely SJM has been scorning at my lack of updates despite them religiously popping by as and when (kua kua kua!).
there's quite a fair bit to update, so i shall timeline(yucks IKR!) it.
my year in 2011 ended with a wonderful trip to Cambodia with my mentor. It was truly an eye-opener, seeing things and scenery i thought i would never see with my own eyes. just some snapshot highlights from the thousands i have.
our morning scene. a bustling street of life that greets us when the market opens as early as 5 in the morning.
we made our way from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap for our expedition of heritage sites in the country.

visited architectural structures that i never thought exists in modern world.
this is at the Angkor Wat group of temples btw.
"buildings" made to perfection just by piling rocks and more rocks. the precision of each calculation and angle in the history is just impressive. these buildings have stood for centuries or even a millenium after they were built. *awes*
i'm sure Tomb Raider fans know this place.
the floating village was pretty awesome too. a relatively different way of living. especially the unfixed ones, where they might wake up at a different place everyday and just continue life as it is. 四海为家.
this girl below rowed herself about in a washing pail with a python as companion. as i thought this was one of the attraction, i took a photo as she waved and encouraged me to do so. never did i expected that she asked for a dollar as a fee for the photograph. there were more of them luring around in proximity, and you would get swarmed around with them if you gave that dollar. so take note if you go there people.
yes i was this close to a crocodile. the farms in Singapore usually have quite a distance, this croc-y was less than a metre or two away. and i think it's interesting that, they don't have a tongue? (really?)

tasted food i know i'll love for the whole of my life. we had this almost every morning after we discovered it.
the lok lok beats Malaysia's hands down, i swear!
and dead ducks/chickens feet with different coloured veins, as if telling us, please don't go ~ *eeks* that was on our journey to the airport back to Singapore.
undoubtedly, my favourites. plane shots. the beautiful sky seem to have given my iphone the capability to take awesome shots.

i got good news in December that i was accepted in Unisim to pursue my degree for Sociology with Psychology. happy much, and here comes 2012.
the first quarter of the year was pretty eventful, was offered a full time position in the center i work in as they're very nice, they know i need a FT job for my school subsidy. took some time to adjust myself to the newer roles and responsibilities. still not doing a great job though :/
moved house. so i need TRAVEL to work now. yeah i used to take the lift to work, cool right. now i'm officially part of the morning working crowd on trains. and i absolutely hate it that i'm lazy to dress up in the morning, so i'm in my sloppish work attire (if you have an idea how it looks like) with all the nicely made up office people.
did well for my first semester, and went to Thailand with Yappy and her boyfriend. i don't know why but i can't seem to find the photos for this trip. definitely explored more than i did when i went to Thailand for the first time in 2010, but i bought alot lesser things. LOL.
in the second half of the year, i got a C for my first module this semester, i guess i need to be working doubly hard(which i'm not!) for the 3 other modules. wish me luck ~
oh yah i went for the national day parade and USS (for the second time)
with gene gene. i think these two are the most significant at the moment
for the year (other than holidays) lol. i rarely get out of home when i have the time to stay in it. sleep is so precious lol. anyways, pictures!

the parade was good! and favourite part is still the national anthem and the pledge :)
now for USS ~ not exactly a fan of rides, USED TO BE afraid of them. but gene totally reversed it. at some point i was quite addicted and i kept wanting to go up until i totally couldn't take it already lol. broke my own record of about 9 rides for the day.

2012 kinda sucked for me, i would say emotionally? am on a roller coaster ride whole of these times. my love life is just about wrong people, wrong timing, or just wrong judgements. so i go by 2 quotes from twitter .....

okay it's not like i haven't met anyone nice, but just exactly because you are afraid you will lose it, that you refrain from falling deep in love. a simple reason, because you'd never know how much that person really likes you. i know i cannot (i don't want to either) exist on the same page as another person, and i can't be too sure you have more pages for me in your chapters, so i'm back in my own book. i can't get too into you ..... you don't know it, i'm scared .........
